Descent
We planned a round trip, and so we started the descent though Singalila forest. It was a picturesque route, too steep, and 14km long with no water source or a village in between till we reach Gurdum. There are a number of Himalayan Bears, Pandas and only a few Leopards. Though we didn't see any of them, no regrets that they didn't give us a reception.
Wonderful World
What a wonderful world. A place where you may find inner peace. And a place, where our heart beats broke the silence. Road of flowers, like a carpet to greet us as we came down from Sandakphu with lots of memories. The way back home was not just a route to the plains, but another memorable experience that we would love to cherish for the rest of our lives.

Forest Fire
The forest or pasture may be deliberately set on fire in the hope of obtaining a good growth of grass or to clear the forest to find virgin land for cultivation. Shifting cultivation (Jhoom) or slash and burn method of crop cultivation is the system where farmers shift their fields after taking one crop in a single season, reducing the forest every season.

Gurdum
Finally at Gurdum, after we consumed the last drop of water hours ago. Ayan and I had fallen behind, looking for footmarks of the others to find our way. We were tired, had no lunch and visibility was minimum due to the smoke from the forest fire as well as dense fog. The rain was about to come, with chances of getting soaked... we found the village.
